What comes to you when I say the word mind? Perhaps you see a 3-pound organ inside your head. Are the words -brain and mind synonyms or are they different? If they are different, what is the difference?

According to a neuroscientist, Dr. Joe Dispenza says that the mind is the brain in action. That means as the brain functions firing neurons and making connections giving rise to our thoughts, feelings, and behavior a state of mind is created. This neurological process is what we know to be as our life.

Scientists used to believe that the brain is hard-wired and cannot change. We would just end up just like our parents. Now as these beliefs are outdated because of the more extensive research and thousands of brain scans, we now know more.

The concept of neuroplasticity suggests that the brain keeps on changing as we consciously choose to learn new things, make new decisions, and have new experiences that make us feel differently in our lives. This means we do not have to be a victim of our old habits and learned belief system.

In order for us to apply this, we must learn to release the energy stuck in the body and teach it new states of being. A new state of being is a new pattern( a specific thought, emotion, and behavior). It is important that your chattering, analytical mind is calm for us to suggest these new patterns and outcomes in our lives.

Once we do this process with repetition, depth, and consistency; our reality is bound to change. What is it that stops us from making a change?

It is inner our past, yes you heard it right-the past. And all the past learned disempowering beliefs, behaviors are recorded in the body- the automation.

We all know that when we are looking to change, even though we want to do it consciously- our body doesn’t let us move toward it. We may say things like- I just don’t feel like it.

To get to this point we have certainly let our bodies (our past) dictate our behavior which creates more from our old habits.

When something happens in the environment, you lose a job or a loved one passes away; our focus narrows in on the cause and snaps a picture of it.

To process It healthy, one must let go of old ways of reaction they are repressed in our bodies.

New Body Atlasproduced from research conducted by Finnish scientists,

The next time another event or a similar trigger happens we get ourselves back into a past emotional box. Now the body does not know if it’s real or imaginary and lives as if that tragedy is happening now.

This way many of us lose our consistency when we have a positive momentum going forward.

And if we let our bodies take over, we further move into a state of deriving pleasure from our senses(eating, binging, or engaging in sensual pleasures) and completely losing our way in life. In this process, we lose our empowering identity and have a very negative look towards our potential.

Therefore it is very important to work with oneself to release the built-up energy in our bodies to let them go so that we have space for creativity and possibilities to emerge.

Here are a few simple steps you can use now:

  1. Stand on your toes and bounce on your heels repeatedly for as long as you start to feel lighter
  2. Raise your hands together and bring them down as you exhale fast and deeply.
  3. Sit in meditation and enjoy the silence now as the body becomes still so does the mind.
  4. Now that you are in a more resourceful state, whenever you are ready, you can begin to impress the subconscious mind with images, sounds, and feelings or you may even get insight in the form of images, feeling, or sounds.
  5. The body is learning new patterns, feelings new emotions and now ready to take you to wherever you want to go.

No matter how much you try, you cannot succeed unless the body is together with you. It will create miracles for you once you teach and train it, all possibilities are easier to bring forth in the world.
